The causes of car radiator fan noise
Driving with a car radiator fan that is noisy and sounds abnormally can cause anxiety while driving. Besides being noisy, a car radiator fan that sounds can also make the engine cooling system less than optimal due to uneven wind gusts when cooling the radiator's cooling water temperature.
Suppose this condition is left unchecked and not immediately corrected. In that case, the sound that will appear will get louder and make the engine overheat due to the engine cooling system working abnormally.
Radiator fan noise often occurs in cars that use electric motor drives. However, cars with belt-powered radiator fans can also be noisy and make abnormal sounds. So what are the reasons for this noisy car radiator fan and abnormal noise? Here are some reasons for car radiator fan noise.
1. Worn out bearing in the motor fan
The first reason for the radiator fan noise that is quite often found is that the engine cooling fan motor bearings are worn out. The bearing on the car engine cooling fan motor functions to ensure the fan's rotation can run smoothly. Besides that, the bearing will also keep the fan rotation stable.
When the bearings are damaged and worn, the fan rotation also becomes choked and unstable. Even if the bearing condition is bad enough, it can make the fan rotation unstable. This unstable rotation fan often makes a noise when the car radiator fan is running.
2. The fan blade position is no longer centered
The next cause of the radiator fan noise is the fan blade position that is no longer centered on the fan blade holder. This non-centering of the fan blade often occurs due to a problem with the cooling fan motor (such as an obliterate bearing) or when the fan motor's workload is too heavy (the fan motor continues to rotate in all working conditions and engine temperatures).
Fan blades that are not centered due to the melting of the plastic fan blade joints and aluminum shafts on the cooling fan motor.
The position of the fan blade that is no longer centered will cause the radiator fan to roll. Even in some conditions, it is in contact with the radiator grille, causing it to leak water.

The last clause of the radiator fan noise is because one or part of the radiator fan blade is damaged, such as a chop (broken in part) or a broken blade.
A broken fan blade condition will make the radiator fan rotation unstable and abnormal. The result will be a very noisy sound when the radiator fan rotates.
The damaged fan blade can happen due to throwing rocks or wood into the radiator fan while driving, especially when passing through off-road roads and floods filled with garbage.
